4th of July

We enjoyed celebrating America's birthday at my sister's house on Echo Lake with her family and my bother's family. It was a special 4th for a few reasons: the weather was beautiful for a change, we celebrated with family, and the kids actually enjoyed the fireworks this year! We were able to coax them into holding sparklers and they stayed nearby to watch Uncle Scott light of some of the smaller things. Later that night I caught Benjamin peaking out his window watching the fireworks being set off down the block. He said it was "better than watching tv"! I got him up and we walked around the neighborhood to watch the various shows...our neighborhood goes crazy so we were able to see a ton. At last, we don't have to spend the 4th hiding from the fun!

  1. You are sure right about our neighborhood. Ugh! Even my usually firework crazy in-laws were SHOCKED at how CRAZY it is. We stayed up late with Aaden and watched from our bedroom window. :)
